    please update entry for (4.4.0-10) R4i-SDHC 3DS (r4i-sdhc.com)
    Is not working on 4.5, 0-10 (no firmware updates since before Dec 2012)
    There are now 2 replacement cards, ‘3DS V4.5’ and ‘3DS RTS’

      this makes no sense
      it is in the Blocked List
      (4.4.0-10) R4i-SDHC 3DS (r4i-sdhc.com)
      as you prove, the last version it was working on was 4.4.0-10
      and as the Working List States
      (4.5.0-10) R4i-SDHC 3DS 4.5 (r4i-sdhc.com)
      you see it says 4.5.0-10 at the start because it is working on the latest update
      i have added the RTS card now tho

    should i buy
    new r4i sdhc RTS card or R4i Gold Plus (r4ids.com) card

    price wise, they have same price tag, on my known store
    but not sure, which will have more lifetime

    So i got wood 1.56 and i downloaded the 4.5.0-10 update.
    i have : (4.5.0-10) R4iGold 3DS (r4ids.cn) -(Revision 9, A & C Only) – 4.5.0-10 update + DSi 1.4.5
    It is not working at all…
    It keep saying Fail, i don’t know what to try next.

      M3i Zero (GMP-Z003) is the only card that team produce that works on the 3DS
      m3ds real is a DSLite/DSPhat only flashcard, DSi & 3DS do not have the Slot 2

      well a Fake/Clone is basically where someone basically clones the hardware and makes there own software for a card, normally using less reliable parts
      majority of cards are clones/fakes of the original with a few changes, Supercard, R4ids.cn/R4ids.com, M3, R4, Acekard are teams that created the originals but some have since gone bust or just decided to not produce newer cards, all the other cards are clones of one of them with exception of the DSTwo from Supercard as they are expensive to make and clone and with card creators trying to save on cost its not viable for them.

      There isnt really a guide for a newbie, but its quite simple. once you have a flashcard there are 2 key things that you want to check,

      1: the Kernel, this is the Menu of the Flashcard and Also controls game compatibility and need to be on the MicroSD at all times.

      2: Firmware. Firmware is what allows the flashcard to run on updates consoles, when a console has an update it blocks majority if not all card, you want to make sure the firmware of the flashcard is compatible before you update to console, the update file is run like a NDS backed up game and once has been run and installed you can update your console.

      the quality of the flashcard is normally rated on how quick the developers get the update out to its customers on its website,Supercard DSTwo and R4ids.cn/R4idsn.com rated the best because this is normally under 24 of a console update being released

    Really weird that this update (r4i3d (r4i3d.com)) it’s the same firmware update as the r4isdhc dual core (sticker “new”) card from months ago, december 2012 IIRC. What a mess with those r4 clones.

        sorry, but i have to go by what is on there site, i cannot bash a website/product unless i have heard results of a test. will mark it as not working now but saddly it is down to the manufacturer and what they state i have to go by

    you really need to fix the info about R4iGold 3DS (r4ids.cn), due to the fact i have a rev c card updated to the max and it does not work on system 4.5.0-10 or higher and yes i did post info about when i got it

      my information is correct, if your card cannot update to 4.5.0-10 then it is in the blocked list due to the metroid bug, i would check where you purchased it from due to this was a hardware flaw with the card and it may be possible to get a non bugged card, zhuzhuchina offered a service to do just this

        If it helps, the card was working with the 4.5 update but the dev team mentioned nothing about making the updated kernel for this latest update (Or even the 5.0 update for that matter lol)

    Hi Pong, I have a question.. I have a R4i-SDHC 3DS from r4i-sdhc.com, not the v4.5, v5 or RTS, this one is a little old already but it is working on my 3ds (firmware 4-4-0-10) haven’t really used it for a while so I haven’t updated it and I just found out about firmware 5, the newest kernel on their site is V1.67b, it says it is for cards with the 3DS mark on them which mine has, but it seems to be on the blocked list you got here, only the v4.5 and RTS cards seem to be working according to your list, I haven’t updated anything yet cause it’s working right now so if it ain’t broken why fix it, but do you know if I apply this V1.67b update to my card will it work on the new 3DS firmware? Thanks!

      Hi, yea the non 4.5, V5 or RTS marked cards wont work on 4.5.0-10 or higher firmware, there was a change in the way nintendo checked carts in 4.5.0-10 so pretty much all flashcards had to have a hardware revision, but some didn’t need it (technical stuff), there was a few cards that passed it due to a Demo cart that didnt have the technical part so some made it to 4.5.0-10 but alot of flashcard creators saw it as a way to sell newer cards anyway. you can update the kernel on your flashcard to 1.67b but pretty sure if you try to update the card it will tell you there is no update available.

    Hi Pong, you have a really great site. I used a r4i gold plus on a 3ds. The owner upgraded the 3ds to 5.1.0-11 and now it is not working. The circuit board in the r4i gold plus is R4IDS version 3D.

    Well, despite the ace3ds site saying it works with the new update, I can’t get it to work on mine. I’m not new to flashcards so pretty sure I’m doing everything right but have emailed them for help, it works fine on my dsi.

      Revision C is there latest, but they have different games used, if you bought it recently off of one of the suggested links then you should have the latest one

      that is a different card to what i had listed as there one that works on the 6.1.0 is a newer card with 20143 printed on it, but it does not work on 6.2.0 but have still added it to this list

    I have a R4iSDHC revolution upgrade card for 3DS/DSi – and my 3DS has 4.4.0-1OU. I cannot get that card working – tried to flash it on DSL as well, but no joy. Any suggestions?

      you will most likely need a new card, check the website printed on the card itself, so many use the same names for the card posting the website address would be more useful so can identify the card

    Thanks – the website is r4isdhc.com – I managed to install the 2012 kernel and firmware update onto the card using my old NDS Lite console. The card works on it, but not on DSi or my 3DS. And I cannot update to the 2013 kernel or firmware update.

      that is because the 2013 is a different version of the cart, you will never get the 2013 working on the 2012 due to a hardware difference.
      you will need to buy a new card for it to work on a DSi 1.4.5 or a 3DS 6.2.0

    This is not correct, the 2.3 update for 1.4.5 also applies for 6.3.x
    I do not believe 2.2 will work on 6.3

    Can anyone confirm if the new R4i LL New 3DS works on the 6.3.0-12 Update? because i have the same on and there’s a letter on the right side of the board.. its letter B.. i have tried the update on their website and it worked but still they didnt mention if its working on 6.3.0-12.. TIA

      there are different revisions of flashcards, as you see the card on there site advertised as Amaze3ds is v2013, its a new revision, but since no one wanted that card tested (due to it being a clone) the old one just sits in the dead pile.
